Location is excellent. Close to absolutely everything you could need. Walking distance to both Park la Fontaine and Jeanne Mance. Apartment retained heat in the winter and was quite cool in the summer. Excellent kitchen! Neighbours are all young professionals and students. Have always gotten along great with all of them!
Apartment wasn''t super bright. All units had a back deck but ours (our neighbours were wonderful and shared) but we were charged the same price. The landlord was horrible. He refused to fix anything. Was angry and abrasive. Often would let himself into the apartment unannounced. Used the fact that he lived in Brassard as an excuse to never help us fix anything. When our toilet broke it took him a week to send a plumber. He did return calls very promptly and spoke to other tenants if they were making too much noise. Since the closing of the restaurant "Tasca" downstairs, we have had a (albeit manageable) mouse problem. They are opening a cat cafe downstairs so imagine the issue will solve itself.
I loved living here and was sad to move BUT I will be extremely happy to have a new landlord.
