New owner and administration made the living conditions worse than before, dirty hallways, no more car washing in the paid indoor parking, dirty elevators and stairways and a lot of construction noise all day long.

What I am going to tell you is not an episode from Seinfeld, this is real life. Just the other day I've heard somebody knocking at my door. When I opened the door I saw in front of me our beautiful manager- a very young lady- and the plumber standing right beside her. I've brought him as a witness she told me. The plumber was looking nicely at me and he seemed to be a little bit embarrassed. Right, I thought to myself, it' s good to have someone with you to witness everything, but it's hard to achieve that, it is very costly.
What is the matter milady I asked. You know what , she told me, your neighbor from 210-the apartment right beneath me- complained about you that you knocked at her door repeatedly and ask her -nicely -to stop making noises. She is a single mother with two kids. There are children there, she added.
It is right I replied, I complained about the fact that she is using an industrial vacuum cleaner which is usually used by the workers who polishes the floor. Maybe you've heard such noises coming from the apartments which are being renovated. I' ve sent you a letter complaining about that things. I've never received an answer from you.
So, instead of solving my complaint, the manager turns against me.
How in the world my neighbor convinced the manager that I am the culprit and convinced her to come to my apartment with a witness-I am rolling on the carpet laughing now, poor plumber he's been used-, I will never know.

Appartements tres mauvais. Mauvaise qualite de materiaux et de fournitures. Bruits de voitures, sans compter des odeurs dans les appartement (murs?). Aussi, il fait froid en hiver. Beaucoup trop de choses a dire sur cet immeuble qui, depuis qu'il a ete reprit, sombre dans le chaos (Ingerance dans la selection des nouveaux locataires).

DO NOT MOVE HERE. We came here 4 years ago, and it gets worst every year because of the new managers. The rent is too expensive for what you get in return. Every time, there's a reparation going on in the building - from 8am to 7pm- constant noise, even during weekends and holidays. Loud, impolite, noisy neighbours, and disrespectful tenants. Dogs are allowed but clearly nobody cares to makes them shut up (smell of pee and poop in the hallways). Kids are horrible in this building, you can not ask any parent to calm them down or you will look like a freak. Water is cut once a month with a 24h warning. Laundry is too expensive. No noise insulation (you are basically living in collocation with your neighbours). Owners will always find a way to have the last word if you have a problem. Old utilities in the apartments (broken when you start renting, and will not be changed). Smell of pot at certain floors. This became a horrible experience, I don't even want to come back home at the end of the day.

First as you walk in the building you see a cloud of cigarette smoke from the managers office so hold your breath before reaching the elevator. Then watch out for all the pee and poo in the elevators from the many dogs who live there (by the way there are more dogs then people in the building) whenever you have a problem NEVER go to the manager he is absolutely unapproachable and the most intimidating man I've ever met. Scares the most vulnerable people in the building (the elderly) who have lived there for over 20 years he has no respect or compassion for anyone. Walls are very thin, you can hear your neighbor shower or laugh at all times. Very limited street parking (nobody ever leaves). If your looking for a party building then this is the place for you otherwise I would not recommend this place to anyone who has shift work. Neighborhood safety fluctuates over the years.
P.S make sure you have lots of change in your pocket there's always someone in the lobby asking for spare change.

Close to a lot of stores. Have never had a problem with the landlord or other tenants. Close to lots of parks and bus stops.
No complaints about the building other than not too close to the metro.

Landlord will try to make you pay for things that he should pay for and threaten to sue you if you don''t comply. I have experienced this twice in the short year I have lived here.

Dog Friendly; proximity to amenitie (bank, pharmacy, grocery store, buses all within 2 minute walk); live-in superintendents; well maintained property; two separate laundy facilities in building; hard working & no nonsense landlord
