If you're smart you will never rent from this young couple. At first they come off very kind and then as soon as they don't get what they want they turn into monsters. I keep my house EXTREMELY clean, and we gave post dated cheques so that the rent would be paid with no hassle. DREAM TENANTS
Daly Morin was built in 2011 and we have had already two leaks in our bathroom. The landlords never came to over see any of the repairs done by the building. My boyfriend and I did it for them and communicated by phone, text or email.
I have lived here for 18 months. From day 1 they have constantly called and texted us for things. For example they still get their mail here. The husband would call and ask if there was mail and then sometimes to my work or my boyfriend's work to pick it up or call and book another day to come. Now, they invade my privacy and go into my mailbox!!
We are moving out in 2 months and yesterday they came and did a full inspection of the unit. They wanted us to sign a paper saying that we would pay and repair anything that they see fit, (which we did not sign). The husband was invasive and proceeded to tell me I am crazy to think that this was my house. He said it is his house and he can do what he wants, he pays the mortgage.
The aggressive behaviour all started in march when we refused an increase in rent half way through our lease. At first they tried to raise it by $100/month and now they say that the regis told them they can raise it by $35/month. Finally they said they wouldn't raise it because they think we need the money more than them. (just one of they passive aggressive comments)
I can go on and on about things that they have done, I can't wait to move out of this nightmare place.
Due to this experience I will never rent again. I am traumatized.
