The landlord and apartment are absolutely awful. Any "work" done to the apartment was done by him and it is very clear he has no idea what he is doing. The living room ceiling looks like it's going to cave in. There are cracks in walls, evident water damage, shotty drywall jobs. Paint peeled off completely in most of the bathroom. The landlord does all the electric work himself. There are live wires and wiring boxes exposed in several places. You do not have access to the circuit breaker. A main circuit blew over a year ago and I still don't have the use of the entranceway light and one of my outlets to this day. He installed the washer/dryer hookups running through most of the limited kitchen cabinet space you have to begin with. Also, the main hallway light has a master control switch in his apartment which he uses to keep the light off all the time so you can never see your door to use your keys to get in. Speaking of keys, he keeps the door to the building unlocked at all times. When you mention any issues he tells you everything is an easy fix and then never fixes anything. The heat is said to be included but all of a sudden your heat will stop working for days at a time. In the winter. It has gotten as cold as 9 degrees celcius in here and I was informed that this sounded livable, but he would look into it.
