We have had a very hot week, over 30 C and it is continuing. Tell me why it is inhumane to leave a cat, dog, baby, child, person, in a car in the heat but yet it is humane somehow to trap families, the elderly, children, the ill, pets, in a high rise apartment rental in over 40+ on the higher floors.

Tell me why the landlord just posts or emails the bylaws when asked to leave on the air longer or to start it sooner. They refuse to turn it on before June 1 or even May 28 or leave it on past mid Sept, even now. They advertise air conditioning in this so called advertised "luxury building" at $1700/month rent starting and tried to raise it well over the legal cap for 2 + years in a row. Tell me why Minto, the previous building management group would turn it on early, shut it off late if it's hot.

Why can condos, office and public buildings leave on their air? Shove the bylaws, my MPP even said the bylaws are used as excuses to save money. This is "only 1 of many issues" in this building.

Lovely property but the current owners/management hasn't done a thing since Minto left about 6-8 years ago unless something is falling apart for e.g. fixing the leaky floor to ceiling windows after "0" maintenance for years, then they had the audacity to apply to raise the rent over the capped percentage! They tried this again and originally claimed because they had over 600,000.00$ of extra costs yet only had receipts for 400,000.00. What a sham this place is. We are constantly lied to by the representation of this building and company if you are lucky enough to find someone to talk to.

I've heard everything from: "we can't start the air until the ajoining condo turns theirs on", to "we can't get the company that does this here". They used to even turn it down somehow for all units at night and we would wake up in a sweat. The building has continually gone downhill in all areas, sure they remodelled the lobby but unnecessarily to fool prospective tenants. All you have to do is look at the disgustingly dirty and ripped (tripping hazard) hall carpet on the main floor just beyond the newly renovated lobby, to see what this building is all about. The carpets everywhere in the halls are disgusting and old, some have been replaced but only a few after a violent crime was committed. The parking levels are disgusting as well as the parking lots themselves. The cost of the shared facility is shared with the ajoining condo, our rent pays 47% and the condo owner fees pays 53%. It's a joke with mold everywhere and leaking sewage from the ceiling.

The recreation facility office has been gutted and open with the framing showing for over 6 months and there is no sign of repair. The carpet is disgusting as well as the walls and exits most with rotted doors and frames, with cracked and broken windows (over 6 months), and with rotting indoor walls. Amazingly the landlords and condo board are happy to leave this area rotting in plain view with no clear and transparent communication about anything.

We used to hear about the shared facility meetings (when, where, who) and were asked for our comments but now they have become invisible. The condo board blames the rental apartment building for not paying their share and vice versa yet nothing gets done. When Minto ran this place the shared facility was always in mint condition and maintained immaculately. Now it's as though the tenants and owners have been abandoned. I couldn't believe my eyes when I actually saw the management touring perspective renters through the shared facility, and our rental building, surely for the price they can find something better to live in and definitely professionally managed and run.

Don't waste your money here, we are moving out too and for the price we can upgrade to bigger cities, yes "bigger" not smaller, cities.
