Apartment was so well heated (no control within unit) that windows occasionally had to be opened during winter.
Landlord got back to me in a reasonable delay (whether or not he did something about things is a different story)
Apartment was renovated right before I moved in, but finishing touches were badly done. This was proven by the mice that showed up in the winter. Landlord''s solution was to give me 2 mouse traps and hope they go away. After a registered letter was sent when I spotted a mouse for the second time, nothing was done, except give me poison pellets when my lease renewal was due.
When I moved in in August, the oven door was detached and the elements weren''t tied to anything. The landlord seemed to think 2 weeks was a reasonable delay to get it fixed. After all I live across the street from Romados so I could easily eat roast chicken for that period of time. When the brand new fridge broke, it took 3 days to get someone to fix it (granted it was the week-end), but they only deal with one company to fix everything/anything and they own over a dozen buildings, so don''t count on getting anything done in a reasonable amount of time.
All these lovely experiences in one year.
Building is occupied mostly by a mix of students and a not so terribly sane older crowd. My neighbor frequently came home yelling to himself and I once answered my door to a woman who asked me to "embrassez-moi" and then realized I wasn''t who she was looking for...
The laundry facilities only accept either quarters or looneys (although machines are made for both, one only works with quarters and the other only with looneys), but have never had trouble because they were occupied
