Great location, apartment layout is well-designed and spacious for a 3 1/2. It faces the back alley, which makes for less street noises. Cons: my particular apartment has a floor made of plastic tiles that stain and discolour easily. The plumbing is atrocious, the bathtub gets clogged at the drop of a hat. Taking the garbage out is a nightmare because I have to walk down two flights of the emergency staircase, which has rusted stairs. The alleyway where the garbage needs to be deposited is often littered. Landlord usually responds pretty fast to concerns, though he tends to make "easy" fixes rather than actual repairs. The apartment is terribly insulated. The floors are absolutely freezing in the winter, even when room temperature is normal. The windows tend to freeze and always spew cold air. I have found that plastic insulating sheets help a little. Thankfully the landlord upgraded the heating boards last winter, but not without arguing with me about paying extra for heating first (despite heating being included in my rent).
