The appartment :
-Bad insulation, very expensive to heat
-Expensive appartment for the location and facilities (w/d, stove and fridge not included).
-You hear your neighbours fart, but that's kind of a bonus
-Old water piping, always blocks, and we ran out of water a few times
- If you have a bike, you can't put it anywhere except one or two spot on the street. Make sure to lock it properly and take your seat off because you can't really hide it.

BUT:
- Beautiful light entrance in the bedrooms
- Cute kitchen
- Awesome light source in the bathroom
- Nice big bedrooms
- A lot of space for storage

The neighbourhood :
- If you're a woman, you WILL be catcalled and followed in the streets by creepy men. I recommend to not walk on JT, but to take small streets around instead. Walking or biking alone at night can be sketchy.
- Very masculine environment (at least, on Jean-Talon street). Almost no women in public pools, or outside after 19h, in cafés, bars etc.
- No dumpsters (for those who do dumpster diving) except a crappy one at Esposito's
- A lot of cops at night, who will racially profile you with love (especially if you're a male)
- No services in terms of local or organic food
- Definitely not a vegan friendly place
- No places for social meetups, except crappy bars (but than again, i would not recommend if you're a woman).
- But if you like meat and having your manly hair manly cut by a manly barber with a fragile masculinity, there's 63836 men hairdressers and butcher shops on JT street!

The landlord :
- In the beginning, everything was very cordial and respectful...
- NOPE.
- Enters your appartment when she thinks you're not there.
- Takes months to fix simples problems even if she lives in the bloc.
- is NOT pet friendly, even if you're allowed to have a cat. Make sure to have everything well written on the lease.
- Talks outloud about her renters when she is outside and everybody can hear.
- Doesn't respect the delay of notice when there's a visit (sometime she tells it 1h before).
-If she likes you I guess it will be fine, but if she doesn't... you will know it. Even if you take care of the appartment and you pay your rent.
