He will get most repairs done within 24-72 hours. Cats are allowed, but not dogs. The floor (ceiling of the 2nd floor apt) was soundproofed, so there''s virtually no noise from downstairs (but the side neighbours can still be heard).
1. He raises the rent every year regardless if there was major work or not.
2. He isn''t around for anything on the weekends, nor does he really answer the phone.
3. If you fight the rent increase, he will become very nasty.
4. He''s only a nice landlord if you never bug him for repairs or things that break. But if it''s too much hassle for him, watch out! He will turn on you. As long as you don''t piss him off, he won''t be snarly.
I wouldn''t really consider renting here for long term. The rent goes up $10 every year, and the landlord will not allow you to sign a lease for multiple years locking your rent.
