2 balconies, one in the front and one in the back. You share a garden area with someone and you can plant, or do anything to your side. Easy to get downtown.
Landlord is cheap and has to be asked to do things. Would often find a cheap alternative and would have to re do the work after a period of time.
The apartment is located in a calm, safe area. If you don''t mind multi-ethnic neighbourhoods, it will work for you. Everything is near by and I love the fact that it is a few steps away from the 80 stop which will take you down town and the 193 stop which will bring you to the orange line. The price is very nice for the size of the place.

As for noises, you will hear your neighbours if they are having a get together and the windows face into other people''s backyard so you will also hear them have BBQs in the summer. Honestly, it''s no big deal.

The house is very... unrenovated. The landlord doesn''t really want to spend money fixing anything, but he will do work if you specificly tell him about a problem (he is quit cheap though). He doesn''t live near by, so there is no regular checkup or attempt to control what we do, generally, not in our way. Pets are technically not allowed, but we do have 2 cats and he accepted that.

I didn''t have any issues with bugs here, which I am very thankful for as this neighbourhood tends to have that problem.
No washing machine or drier, nor do you have much space for them, but there is a place you can go to 1 block away.

Because there are so many windows and 2 balconies, heating up can be expensive. Make sure to isolate everything. One room is very hard to heat up with the pre-installed radiator. Consider a portable heater. The summer gets crazy hot and humid. No ac or any way to air out, please make sure you get a fan or cook to death. As for lighting, its good in every room except for one where there is no ceiling lamp. We use a floor and a desk lamp. One nice this about that is that there are about 2-3 places to plug things in every room.

Not sure about parking because I do not drive.
