This is a long review so I'll give you a summary: Can hear all the noise from the neighbors, the common areas, and the street. The apartment was absolutely filthy for move-in day. The landlord will argue to not make any repairs, and when finally making repairs they will be done in sub-par fashion and take a long time. There are likely rats because for the first few weeks I had my bread and fruit half-eaten; eventually the culprits left but I could hear them scrambling in the ceiling from time to time.

When I moved into the apartment it was very filthy. There were dead bugs everywhere, dust and dirt on all surfaces, the furniture was stained and broken (including blood stains on the bed), the carpet had big stains and holes in it, the oven was dirty, the fridge was dirty, the windows were dirty, the blinds were dirty. Also during move-in, half of the light bulbs were burnt out and not replaced upon request, paint chipping off walls and windowsills were never painted, drafty back door (literally can feel the air coming through it and watch the curtains sway) was never fixed, water stains from previous leaks in bathroom and other areas was never fixed/painted, drawers of the furniture had holes and dirt in them and were never replaced, cold water knob in bathroom was replaced after over a month of not working but hot water knob was not replaced to match cold water knob, stove fan dripped with oil when I first used it. I had to clean every day for 1 week to make the apartment livable. I was not given 24hr notice before having apartment entered by repairman while I was sleeping.

The windows were extremely old and drafty, without bug screens so they could not be opened in the summer without lots of pests coming in. The draftiness of the windows also caused extreme heating bills ($200-$300 per month) in the winter and tons of noise. The windows were replaced only after 9 months even though the request was made after a few weeks of moving in. The apartments are very noisy, can hear all neighbors in their apartments, common areas, and the outside traffic and voices at all times. Apartment gets very hot in the summer. Front door to the building was broken for several months. Lots of pests, had some sort of critters coming into my apartment to eat my bread and produce left outside of fridge; they left after about 1 month but I could hear them in ceiling for months afterward (probably moved to a different apartment). Lots of spiders, centipedes, and other bugs come into apartments.

Location is fantastic and common areas are kept relatively clean, but those are about the only good things about this property.
