Pro: Great location, close to transportation and shopping
Cons: Everything else. The walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbour flush the toilet. Honestly, I can live with that. The building manager is a former prison guard and treats tenants like they are axe murderers. The building owner is a 'renoviction' landlord and he hired her to get rid of the older tenants who have been there a long time.
One tenant had water damage from the tenant above 6 months ago and they still haven't done the repairs. They rent one bedroom apartments to families with 4 children and of course the children play in the hallway and outside so good luck trying to watch TV or have a nice evening with a book-not gonna happen. The carpets in the hall are never vacuumed-well nothing is ever cleaned.
The laundry room is disgusting (the super and his wife go down the street to the laundramat to do their own laundry).
The superintendent's wife stands by the door pretending to clean the glass but she's really just ambushing tenants as they are leaving so she can gossip with them or enter their apartments when she knows they have gone out.. My neighbour saw her coming out of my unit one day and when I asked her about it she denied it (no surprise) but I did notice things in my bedroom dresser had been gone through. I ended up adding an extra lock to my door. And in the end I just left.
