Atef is a horrible landlord and an even worse person. The townhouse he rents out is very small, with paper thin walls. My bedroom does not have a window in it, and he still charges you for a two bedroom apartment. Do not live here!
He is an unreasonable old man who gets easily angered if you need anything. The apartment thermostat goes up to 30 C but it only got to be 16 in the apartment, we kept a thermometer and brought this up with him, but he wouldn''t allow us to use space heaters. If we did then the circuit would break and he would threaten to evict us (which is an empty threat because he would end up losing money if he did that). If our garbage wasn''t put out he would threaten us with a $250 fine. He shows up unannounced and has his own key so sometimes he just walks right into the house without ringing the doorbell. He''s extremely unreasonable and almost impossible to get a hold of. Even if you do reach him he acts like a stubborn child and refuses to help you with whatever renovations the house needs. My roommate had a hole in her wall and ice that ran up and down the side of her bed, he refused to fix it because he claimed it wasn''t there when we moved in. The apartment is also infested with ants which he claimed was our fault because our garbage was outside next to the door...
