I couldn't agree more with the previous comment. The landlord doesn't answer phone calls or messages. They have an office you can call and the secretary is very nice but nothing will get done. Rats and mice abound and the landlord tried to convince me that it's squirrels. I've seen the rats and they are BIG. They won't attack you which is nice and they only come out at night which is considerate, but if you don't like rodents for roommates then don't bother. The Landlord and his daughter will hike up the rent every year by about 60 dollars which isn't legal but they trick you and pretend they have done repairs which justify the rent hike. As a tenant you will be in a constant battle with the landlord. The long suffering super is very nice and helpful but there is only so much he can do when contending with the landlord's unwillingness to spend money on repairs.
Now for the apartments themselves. The location is nice and the living space is quite big but don't be fooled if you are coming to visit as a potential tenant. You will hear the neighbours talking and walking around and that's if they are being considerate. I can hear my upstairs neighbours' upstairs neighbours. That wasn't a typo, I can hear them stomping around 2 floors up.
The heating is often non-functional but when it does work be ready to pay a lot because the big size of the apartment will require a lot of heat and that is not included.
If you come to visit and they show you a washing machine and a dryer DO NOT BE FOOLED. These are often broken but if you bring it up they will try to convince you that they actually work. Not through any proof or anything, they'll just tell you it works and not do anything about it.
Electricity often pops off and you have to switch the breaker on. Some windows won't open properly and the landlord justifies that he can't fix them by saying they're antiques. Our toilet stayed broken for a solid year. One of the neighbours was a crazy drug addict who would scream to himself in his apartment and in the street. Landlord often rents out to shady people who leave very soon after. Contractors are always different and I overheard one of them say it was because he hadn't been paid so they quit in the middle of a job. The 90 dollar a month parking lot is a skating rink during the winter which never gets cleared.
The list goes on and on and you could write a whole book of complaints.
All this to say PLEASE STAY AWAY if you like living comfortably.

...Great location, close to metro.

The landlord takes months to repair the smallest stuff. Mice and rats problem that he just denies. He will do anything to ignore our complaints. The noise and temperature is as bad as it can get (I can hear neighbors coughing and in the winter it gets really cold and the electrical bill is really high ) and the electrical wiring in this building is old and needs to be replaced (the breaker always goes off)
