The landlady makes a lot of promises, but she turns out to be deceitful, confrontational, and plain rude. The apartment is infested with pests and smells like mold. She had a worker come in to do construction every Sunday, and he talks extremely loudly. One time, they were doing construction and making loud noises after 11 PM. The landlady will try to take a deposit from you and cheat you out of your money on many occasions. She does not take criticism well. The front door has a deadbolt, but she didn't give us the key for the deadbolt; therefore, we could only lock the doorknob. A burglar broke in one afternoon and stole a bunch of electronics. At one point, there were 8 tenants living here at the same time, one of whom was living in a bathroom. If you are from an ethnic minority, take precautions to make sure you are not being discriminated against
