The landlord is only nice when you serve his every whim. If you are grandfathered here because you lived a long time here or took over a lease from someone who lived here a long time, prepare for harassment. You will be blamed for property damage despite the fact the whole building needs extensive renovations - roof which hasn't been repaired since 1996 - because of this, if you live on top floor, the ceiling cracks and leaks. Most of the kitchen and bathroom fixtures date back to the 50s - building was built in 1954. Landlord controls the heat and he is stingy! You will need to buy a space heater to supplement heat.
Now, with the construction at what was Wilderton shopping center, the neighbourhood is a food dessert. have to take at least one bus to get to the nearest supermarket which is IGA near Plamondon metro.

Landlord is a very nice gentleman. Very pleasant to deal with. Janitor is friendly. In the winter time he always makes sure there is an easy path for the tenants to get upstairs from the outside. The building itself is very secure and clean. Janitor vacuums frequently. The building is very quiet.
Only 1 washer and dryer in the building. A lot of stairs in the building. The building is old and as a consequence, the water pressure is low. There are times especially if you live on a higher floor, the janitor need to "bleed" the radiators. Once that is done, the heating works fine. On apartments that have the old windows, you will definitely feel the cold in the winter. Once new windows are installed, then it will be much better.
Before the present landlord took over the building, it was very rundown according to the older tenants. There is a significant since both the present landlord and janitor took over the building.
