Neighbours are mostly McGill students and are usually friendly.
The landlady is always absent and takes impromptu vacations in the middle of the week.
Renovations have been lasting for over a year, with the plumbers cutting the water every week day from 9 to 4pm, working their way up the building with no regard for the tenants (destroying their ceilings, destroying the bathroom with sometimes no previous warning!). The landlady has been highly evasive to all our questions, so it seems that the incompetent "Plomberie Remi" is here to stay.
We have had two water infiltrations this winter for which no repairs have been made.
The electricity had to be replaced in our apartment and we were out of electricity for about a week. Approximate repairs were eventually made (still not allowed to use my outlet in the living or else everything is gonna blow up).
The front door had to be repaired twice in the same month.
Finally, the rent has been incrementally increased over the last two years despite the situation for which we have received no apologies to this date.
