This was my first apartment I moved to in Montreal. The apartment is old. Units not renovated. Noisy neighbours you can literally hear everything your neighbour does. Creaking floors. The elevator is old and creepy... The laundry room has 1 washer and drier to share with the whole building.
The icing on the cake was the HUGE RATS that would appear in my Kitchen in the winter. Promptly moved out after that. This was February 2020 that I saw the VERY LARGE like new york size rats in my unit in Apartment 24. on the very top floor

Landlord takes advantage of newcomers to Montreal. He consistently doesn't communicate problems and talks down to you if you raise concerns. We lived there for a year, and the washer/dryer in the basement (there was only one pair for a building with 30 apartments) constantly leaked and broke. Landlord scammed us out of $100 for doing a lease transfer
