His wife is nice.
I can not wait to get out of here.
There is no nice way to put this. This landlord is not cool at all. Not only does he not make living here comfortable, he is not nice to deal with. When I first moved in, the walls and cupboards were very dirty. There was no other way than to wash and paint. He promised us half a can of paint per room. We ended up being provided with only one can that hadn''t been opened in ages (needless to say the paint was too old to work with). After I bought the paint myself and requested a reimbursement, J.A got visibly mad and told me he''d bring me the money at the end of the day. Three weeks passed by before I finally got my flimsy 45$. He did multiple reparations during the year we rented the apartment, many of which kept us from using rooms in the apartment.
The repairs he did were botched and he always left things in a mess. After I confronted him about this issue and requested a small deduction on next month''s rent (we went five full days without use of our kitchen) he got super angry and kept glaring at me with furious eyes (he obviously declined). I could go on and on about all of the things wrong with J.A and his apartment, but there are simply too many. In other words, he doesn''t seem to care about the well being of his tenants. In regards of the apartment itself, the hydro bill is incredibly high because there is absolutely no insulation and to top it off, you can hear EVERYTHING through the walls. We lived above our landlord and I fell asleep every night to his annoying snoring. This review might seem a bit too long, but I am determined to prove my point and save another person all of the trouble my roommate and I went through.
