there is nothing positive to say about this landlord.
Doesn''t care about or deal with anything except getting rent on time. Takes months to do repairs. Illegally "fixes" heat so no heat comes on before mid november.
Jacques Vachet is known by the city inspector''s department as a slumlord. Refused to deal with mice, rats, bedbugs, leaks, mold, disrepair, everything. Rents to crackheads. never takes responsibility that he is legally obliged to take. When one tenant began harassing (stalking) me and it escalated to violence (jumping on my ceilings at 4am, kicking in my door at 8am, etc), despite the lease and the law saying he had to intervene, Vachet said it was my fault because i am a woman (instead I called the cops and filed a harassment charge). I had to leave my rent-controlled apartment of 9 years because he refused to treat/ repair a growing BLACK MOLD problem while i was still a tenant, effectively forcing me out. DO NOT RENT ANY DWELLING FROM THIS MAN. HE IS A LOWER LIFEFORM THAN SCUM.
