I do not recommend renting at this location.
The hydro is very expensive and the isolation is terrible. The bathroom which was badly renovated is falling appart, the shower head leaks and the window doesn't even fit the frame. The walls and the molding just keeps being covered in paint but it's filled with dents, holes, dust its just falling Appart.

Unless the landlord does substantial renovations, I think the price is way too high. The landlord is very unpleasant and very dissmissive. She ignores all requests or inquiries. and is very aggressive and dissrespectful nature when addressing any issue with tenants.

I always felt nervous living there. You hear constant fighting ,yelling and door slamming from the downstairs area. There's no quiet or peace whatsoever.

In the winter, the snow is never shovelled.

Before signing the lease we were promised all these fixes that never happened. Issues that were a threat to our safety like broken lights, broken stair case were only addressed after multiple times of asking and many months later. I suggest everything you are promised to be repaired to appear on the lease to hold the landlord accountable. Overall it was a terrible experience, it did not feel like a home, it felt like someone else's neglected home.

When me and my roommate announced that we were leaving she kept scheduling a bunch of visits at the most convenient times without our permission. One day I messaged her a week in advance to advise her that during a specific day I would not allow any visits because I had to study for a final. She completely ignored me, threathened to call the police and completely dissrespected my space and privacy. There's just so many bad stories about living there, point is , don't waste your time and peace of mind, there's way better out there than this!

The landlord is very difficult to deal with. Every morning on the day the rent was due, I would get a call or text message telling me to go pay it. Even on New years day I got a text at 8am. The slightest thing that bothers her, you will hear about it like its the end of the world. When I asked for her to come get a box of tools and supplies from the renovations, there was absolutely no willingness to help. In fact, the box is still on the balcony 13 months later. She can be very condescending. I had to contact the Regis and ask for advice a couple of times on how to deal with some repairs that she promised to finish, which were eventually finished 6 months later. One of which was live wires hanging out of the bathroom wall. (Part of pre-move renovations that were supposed to be fixed.)
Perhaps it was a conflict of character, but my girlfriend and I knew we were going to move within 3 months of living there.

Beware of the heaters in the apartment, they can not heat the place above 20 degrees. So if you get the chills easily, stay away. The wall mounted heater in the kitchen never shuts off on cold days in the winter.
