Building manager takes her time to reply to emails and voice mail. It can take a long time until she confirms when even basic work in an apartment will get done. I had some done and the man doing it did not clean up after himself.
Cockroaches are a bad problem here.
Rent is overpriced the landlord jacked up rents a lot compared to the previous landlord - 3 years ago a bachelor here cost $560 and now it costs $740 but they took out the electricity, tenants have to pay for it.
Janitor isn't good, the garbage room sometimes can be a bad mess with lots of bugs and other times it's very clean, junk mail can be removed quick and other times it sits there for days. He only washes floors when he feels like it, he can clean the hallway sometimes only once a month.
Sound bounces everywhere if you're in the lobby or hallways but when you're in your apartment it's ok.
I don't recommend moving here - the rent is too high and even though there's a crisis for apartments in Montreal there are lots of empty apartments in here which is a bad sign.
It's a great location everything is near a small park across the street the Atwater metro and mall is very close grocery stores close.
It's too hot in winter in this building and the woman won't reduce the heat to make it reasonable.

Sound coming from neighbors can be intrusive. No loud music or anything, just people who slam their doors and talk loudly in their homes.

Building requires work to bring building up to code and after owning this building for 18 months things have not been done. He bought the building knowing it had to be done.

A numbered company owns this. The owner's niece is the manager for the building. They all speak Chinese English and French so language is not an issue.

Cost of apartments were badly raised by this owner. Last owner charged 500 and he charges 720. If you rent here, go to the government to file a charge and get your rent reduced.

2 washing machines and 2 dryers for a building with more than 50 apartments.

WARNING THERE ARE VERY BAD BUG ISSUES IN THIS BUILDING - BED BUGS AND COCKROACHES.
The fumigator is always here. Sometimes the bed bugs are out of control. People have cancelled their leases because of bugs.

The tiny kitchens and tiny bathrooms are not renovated they have to be original to when the building was put up in the 1950s. They advertise it's renovated but all they do is paint.

Everything is near. Parks, metro, malls, grocery stores, restaurants, lots of buses.
