The landlord is really easy to work with. The apartment is clean and in good shape. Some rooms needed painting, but the landlord gave us paint. A storage area right outside the apartment is a big asset. Heating is expensive in winter, but the apartment isn''t so cold.
Excluding metro (see neg. comments), service accessibility is great (including a lot of buses).
Neighborhood is good, right beside a park (Lafontaine). Closest grocery stores are a bit expensive.
No parking directly on Rachel Street, gotta have a "vignette" to park on the closest streets. Without a vignette, you have to move the car everyday. But hey, it''s the plateau...
There was a party at our house and the police came, once. Landlord is concerned with sound coming from music instruments, but it is possible to have some and keep the volume reasonable.
Washer/Dryer entry is in a room. 15 minutes walk from a metro station, which I find a little too much.
Had a pretty good time there.
