Should you rent or not? The simple answer is: no. Do not rent any apartment in this building. Just to give an example, there was a water leak across all of the floors a few weeks ago and nothing has been done about it. This will certainly become a mold problem in the future. The landlords are stubborn and raise the prices above the legal limits.

If you consider visiting this building, this message is for you: we will be moving out soon and we can tell you that the ads are very - believe me... VERY - overpriced. The landlords claim that it is the "best deal in town"... Please, use your judgment. Would you rent an old 6 bedrooms apartment for over 650$ per person? Or even worse, an old semi-basement for 650$ per person! They made a few renovations here and there, and then they skyrocketed the price of each apartment. If I did not persuade you with this post that this apartment is not worth your time, and especially not worth your money, do me a favor. Ask them how much the previous tenants used to pay. And ask for a proof. These landlords will tell you anything to make money.

The building itself is old and charming, and very well situated. However, the landlords are very difficult to work with. If it was possible to give 0 stars for the "landlord is easy to work with" category, this is what the rating would have been. They do what they want, and in the way they want it, without consideration for their tenants. They do not give any explanation concerning the motivations behind their decisions. Avoid as long as Eastmore is in charge of the building!
