R.M., the building manager is a really nice guy and anytime I have had to bring something to his attention he has been prompt to address it.
Heating is included in rent, which is good because the walls are paper thin and I can hear my neighbours talking and walking in their apartments at all times. You can tell that these units have floating walls and there is nothing but plaster separating you and the neighbour beside you.
This building is a good mix of students and older retired anglo pensioners who have been living in their unit for 10+ years.

It is a very quiet building and the neighbours are vigilant about reporting any noise complaints. I moved here at 21 and basically my days of hosting loud parties were over. Younger people (read: loud bro students) have been evicted for noise complaints, so musicians and bartenders on crazy schedules look elsewhere. This is an old building and it''s clear that many of the unites have been divided with hollow plaster walls, which provide no sound buffer between units. Normally this hasn''t been an issue, apart form the sound of creaking floors as you walk.

That being said, like most of this area of NDG/Westmount adjacent the entire area is dead quiet by 11pm. Most shops close by 6pm and the McDonalds that is 2 blocks down in Westmount is the only one that I have ever known to close at 10:30pm each night.

There are 2 sets of washer and dryers in the basement that use plastic tokens. It''s a small building (24 apartments) so usually there is very little wait time and often you can use both at once.

Most of the resident are bilingual, most certainly very anglo-friendly. Everyone pretty much keeps to themselves.

All units are equipped with older gas stoves.
