Ok so here we go...buckle up
On a positive note this place use to be a hotel. Hense the high ceiling in the apartments. Therefore the place is nice. But thats about it. It goes downhill from here. The building needs many repairs itself.. so imagine the units. We were staying on the 1st floor. The front door entrance is constantly broken and would slam shut whenever someone comes in. It Could wake you up at night.
The rooms are dirty with many mold in the bathroom and windows broken that we had to duct tape it to keep it shut.
Kitchen has no exhaust so it stains the walls. And when comes winter time the heating never works. Since the garage is under us you hear it all day and the room gets cold because of the garage door always opening.
Why didnt we complain you might ask? Oh but we did. Only to never get an answer or to have an excuse not to be able to fix it because they dont have the tools or to blame it on Hydro Quebec.
The worst is when we did not want to renew our lease, they had visits in our appartment without letting us know and left the backdoor open! We were in the first floor beside the fire escape!

Save yourself the headaches and find yourself some peace of mind.
Bonus point: the fire alarm would go off randomly at night around 10 times a year.

Where to start? Avoid this place at all costs. landlords are the most incompetent, negligent people you will ever have the displeasure of meeting. They have no janitor despite owning 200 apartments with a few blocks of each other. No security, front door is never closed, the garage door is never closed, both are constantly broken with no one to contact about fixing it. Water gets shut off without warning. Heating is late to get turned on, early to get turned off and breaks down in the middle of winter. Right on the highway so you get hear all the cars, fire trucks, ambulances and police cars racing down the street all night long. I can go on but the main fact is the management is not home.

While the building is beautiful, it is not well-maintained. I have dealt with mould, mice and poor plumbing all in the span of 7 months. When we file an issue, a few days later the landlord walks in without notice to ‘fix’ the issue, only to claim he has the wrong tools and never return. The heat seems to conveniently shut down on the coldest of nights, and the elevator shuts down for days at a time.
Don’t let this building’s beauty charm you; it’s a living nightmare.
